I am recruiting an Apprentice Technical Trainer on behalf of a FTSE 100 Organisation and leading engineering partner that undertakes critical engineering work worldwide.

If you are an experienced Mechanic with light vehicle maintenance and repair skills this is an ideal opportunity for you to step away from your tools and become a Technical Trainer. You will be provided with high level training and development to help guide and prepare your training and assessment skills within a supportive environment. When you are fully trained you will pass on your technical knowledge to Apprentices within 2 leading global Automotive Academy Training Partnerships. You will deliver in-house theory and practical training to groups of 8-12 NVQ level 2 and 3 Apprentices focusing mainly on service and repair of light vehicles. Providing guidance and mentoring to enabling Apprentices to achieve their NVQ qualification and apprenticeship framework.

Main purpose of role:

* Deliver and assess any additional underpinning knowledge not provided by the Apprentices' workplace.

* Deliver and assess technical certificate qualifications & Functional Skills.

* Provide guidance and mentoring to the apprentice and their assessor as required.

* Monitor Apprentices' progress in the other components of their Apprenticeship framework (i.e. any sub contracted delivery).

* Ensure training premises, facilities and materials are organised and dispatched as appropriate in a timely fashion.

* Ensure pre course material is dispatched in time for the commencement of any courses and that course evaluations are completed and forwarded for evaluation as per company procedures.

* Develop and deliver short/long commercial courses.

* Assist in the marketing of the Company Apprenticeship programmes and other business opportunities to potential learners and employers.

* Monitor all apprentices in accordance with their framework pathway.

* Undertake any self-development identified in appraisals and personal training and development plans.

Ideal requirements:

* NVQ level 3 Mechanics.

* Dealership/workshop experience.

* Training experience.

* Great communication skills.

* Approachable attitude.
