We are looking to recruit an experienced 2D CAD Technician working for our client based in Kettering, North Hants. The role is to produce Mechanical and Electrical drawings (as assigned by the CAD/BIM Manager) whilst working to deadlines within the CAD team to produce high quality Building Services drawings.

Whilst this is an AutoCAD role, there is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within Revit and our client is willing to train to a level where you can become a fully trained Revit technician.

Working within the CAD team, we need someone who is a great team player; adaptable, quick thinking and can keep up with the pace!

This role requires excellent attention to detail along with the ability to prioritise workloads according to deadlines and can work unsupervised. This is an office based position in the main and does require flexibility to travel.

Main duties to include:

                               Production of Mechanical and Electrical drawings using hand mark ups from preliminary status through Tender, Construction and installation

                               Working with the engineers closely to take the drawings and then produce; layout plans, sections, elevations, details and schematics

                               Co-ordinating between Architectural, Structural and Building Services drawings

                               Take full responsibility for electronic filing of drawings and documents received

                               Ability to prioritise workload according to deadlines

                               Organise all internal and external print runs

                               Issue and amend drawings to the engineers specifications

                               You will work to project deadlines

                               Using a variety of technical software including: AutoCAD, Excel, Autodesk 360, Word, BIW/Buzzsaw

We are looking for:

                               Experience of producing AutoCAD M&E service drawings for new builds and refurbishment projects

                               Strong AutoCAD experience is essential

                               A Mechanical understanding including: Domestics, Heating, Drainage, Ventilation, Gas, Compressed Air, Utilities and Plant Layouts

                               An Electrical understanding: Lighting, Controls, Power, Fire Alarm, Containment, Lighting Protection, CCTV and Security

                               Excellent communication skills and attention to detail

                               Ideally trained within M&E

                               Must be able to work within a team and have a strong and confident character
