Business Analyst

Business Analyst / IT / Process Change / Business Change / Birmingham City Centre

Award winning and market leading organisation based in Birmingham City Centre is looking for a passionate Business Analyst to join their growing team. The Business Analyst will support the organisation in developing and implementing the strategy and business plan, and are likely to be responsible for leading a team or workstream.

You will join a team of Business Analysts, providing support to workstream leads across the business by understanding and analysing business priorities, problems and opportunities to define project scope, options and benefits to deliver business change.

This is a complex and challenging role with varied and changing workload; the ability to manage an evolving workload with the willingness to adapt to changing priorities and focus quickly will be essential.

Key responsibilities

*Provide expert advice and guidance to all business areas to define the business need, problem or opportunity.

*Establish strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

*Responsible for eliciting, documenting and managing business requirements.

*Responsible for producing specifications for functional and non-functional requirements.

*Accountable for producing and maintaining process, data and technical designs to support the business change and requirements.

*Accountable for analysing all information gathered during the analysis stage using lean methodologies to provide recommendations and solution options.

*Proactively support management and project manager in identifying and managing risks and issues as part of the project.

*Accountable for ensuring that any technical solution meets the business requirements and quality acceptance criteria, through thorough solution design, system testing and user acceptance testing whilst falling within the agreed budget and milestones.

*Responsible for providing support to colleagues through all key stages of the project lifecycle.

*Proactively engage with business areas and stakeholders to ensure they are kept informed of progress and are fully involved in key decisions, risk discovery and mitigation.

*Responsibility for ensuring that the implementation of any change is fully and effectively embedded within the business area.

*Responsible for contributing to the post implementation review and benefits realisation following the implementation of a change.

Key skills and experienced required:

*Proven experience within a Business Analysis position, ideally with experience in large scale business process change and redesign.

*Ability to contribute to multiple projects simultaneously on both a medium and large scale.

*Ability to gather, analyse and translation business and technical requirements.

*Strong communication skills at different levels using various styles.

*Ability to form strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

*Ability to model business processes, data and systems.

*Good working knowledge of Microsoft office applications.

*Strong presentation skills.

*Any experience or knowledge of Lean Six Sigma, Siebel CRM, SharePoint or Office 365 would also be advantageous but is not essential.

This is a great opportunity to join an established organisation during an exciting period of change. The salary on offer for this position is £27,000-£30,000 plus an excellent benefits package. This role is initially a 9 month FTC.
