The role:

You will be working on a variety of projects and solutions for a financial sector team using the latest technology including Terraform, Ansible, Datadog, Jira, Bitbucket etc. A passion for AWS, customer service, and automation is a must.

Key responsibilities:

* Act as the lead engineer on deployment projects and product engineering projects

* Provide AWS subject matter expertise advice and assistance to pre-sales architects

* Installation, configuration, and ongoing management of O/S and AWS services

* Implementing and maintaining custom client machine images and centralised configuration management to enable quick repeatable builds and auto-scaling

* Maintaining high availability through proactive measures

* Troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues

* Ensuring clients & partners are updated on current status of work and issues

* Ability and willingness to proactively improve ways of working and processes

* Keep up to date on AWS services and developments.

* Act as team leader in Team Leaders' absence

Requirements:

* Experience in supporting highly customer-focused mission critical environments (e.g. high profile websites or enterprise infrastructure) essential

* Engineering, architecting, or supporting AWS solutions

* Excellent Linux knowledge (O/S, Apache ) - RHCE or equivalent

* Implementing and supporting AWS based instances and services (e.g. EC2, S3, EBS, ELB, RDS, IAM, Route53, Cloudfront, Elasticache)

* Maintaining scalable and auto-scaled environments using automation and configuration management tools (e.g. Cloudformation/Terraform and Ansible/Puppet) beneficial or can be gained

Desirable:

* Experience with AEM (Adobe Experience-Manager)

* AWS Associate Level Certification, or AWS Pro Architect

Location: Central London (upto 2 days remote working)

Rate: upto £550 - £570 a day

Legnth: 6 monthly rolling (heavy extension rate 18month project)
