My market leading retail and hospitality client is looking for an experienced Head of Infrastructure and Security to join their growing IT team. You will be managing a team of circa 14 with spread across 2 sites in Suffolk and Staffordshire.

The Head of Infrastructure and Security will lead the development and renewal of the IT Infrastructure, overseeing a program of work to ensure IT fully meets the needs of a rapidly evolving business. You will also ensure that IT and Information Security risks are effectively managed and will manage all aspects of IT Infrastructure and Security across the business providing excellent IT and Infrastructure and Security services to the businesses whilst controlling and driving down costs.

Key responsibilities:

*To work with the management team to identify the IT needs of the business and for developing pragmatic business solutions.

*As part of the IT Leadership Team, contribute to the on-going development and delivery of the IT strategy.

*To develop, implement and operate IT controls (e.g. change management, incident and problem management, capacity planning and availability management, backup management etc.) to maximise use of resources (staff and equipment) for the benefit of the business.

*Delivery of the Business/IT strategy via participation in the IT Leadership Team.

*Participation on the Data Governance Committee, Risk Management Committee and Business Continuity Groups as appropriate representing IT.

*Leadership of high performing teams across IT Infrastructure and Security in both locations.

*Manage the Infrastructure and Security teams

*Develop and manage the key relationships of Infrastructure and IT Security suppliers.

Knowledge, skills and experience required:

*Able to provide thought leadership and direction and setting strategy to ensure efficient and effective execution for both IT Infrastructure and IT Security teams.

*Experience of designing and implementing infrastructure environments and upgrading and maintaining them.

*Good understanding of risk and IT security controls and frameworks needed to mitigate evolving risks.

*Business continuity and IT DR design and implementation experience.

*Experience of regular testing with full involvement of the business required.

*Extensive experience of data back-ups and recovery strategy and tools and their use to ensure efficient and effective recovery.

*A business focused leader who is a good communicator and inspires and motivates teams to deliver.

*A leader who takes responsibility and accountability.

*Ability to influence across the IT teams as well as the business.

*Good business acumen and creative problem solving skills.

*Able to provide effective and pragmatic solutions across the business.

*Good supplier management skills and able to get the best value from our investments.

*Must be a good team player working with the rest of the IT Leadership Team and business to help the company achieve competitor advantage.
