My client based in Central London are looking for a Service Desk Analyst on an initial 3 month contract

You will be working in a busy team, of which you will be providing a mix between telephone and face to face/field based support for users across the organisation.

You will be

*Recording and appropriately assigning support requests, prioritising requests and providing initial support.

*Undertaking initial incident management to restore normal service operation as quickly as possible and to minimise the adverse impact on business operations.

*Ensure SLAs met for support requests, escalating as required and keeping staff and stakeholders informed of progress.

*Providing guidance to users in the use of hardware, software and ICT services.

-To record, categorise and prioritise support requests to ensure assigned incidents, service requests and problems assigned are resolved and completed in accordance with agreed service level targets.

-.To provide effective 1st line support, advice and assistance about the IT systems and services.

-.Contribute to the development of the necessary procedures and standards required to effectively support ICT initiatives and improvements. This includes:

*Incident Management

*Problem Reporting / Problem Management

*Change Management

*Version Control

*System Documentation - including network configuration

*Audit Controls - Equipment Register and Software Library

*Backup and Recovery Procedures

*Acceptable Use Policy.

With excellent Support experience you must have

-.Knowledge of ITIL V2/V3 basics, ITIL V3 Foundation Certificate preferred.

-.Experience of providing customer-focused and effective ICT Help/Service Desk and 1st level ICT support services including hardware/software installation, support and configuration.

-.Good ICT knowledge and skills across a wide range of hardware, operating systems and core applications including MS-Windows 7/8 Desktop Operating Systems,, MS Office 2010, Active Directory, Internet and Intranets, Web servers.

-.A basic understanding of network architecture and troubleshooting preferred.

-.Experience of desktop management tools (scripting, AD, LANDesk) preferred.

-.Experience of supporting MAC, iPads and iPhones preferred.
