Data Analyst - SQL Server

Our client is an established company that provides high quality products and services to power networks across the globe. They are now looking for a Data Analyst to join their AIM Team and support the development of their software-led solutions.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a professional with strong SQL, Excel and data visualisation tool skills to progress their career with an international, long-standing company with amazing, innovative ideas.
As a Data Analyst, you’ll be developing, configuring, releasing and supporting our client’s asset investment management (AIM) software which is based in a SQL environment.
Accurate information is paramount in today’s marketplace and our client’s solutions provide the level of accuracy that high-performing business requires at users’ fingertips. You’ll be working on model development, configuration, release and support for these exceptional solutions.
Within a multi-disciplined Product Development and Delivery Team, you will utilise a variety of technologies, implement applications and undertake client work.
Additionally, your role will involve:
- SQL Server development and support
- Reporting and communicating project progress to Team Leads and Project Managers
- Working with customers and internal teams to understand requirements and issues
- Interrogating data to answer specific queries and extract subsets
- Driving continuous improvement for the AIM product
So, is this the role for you? If so, you will need experience of the following, gained within a commercial environment:
- SQL (query and update data)
- MS Excel
- Data visualisation tools such as Microsoft Power BI
Proactive and customer-focused, as a Data Analyst, you must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Adaptability is also key, as is a pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
A degree in Computer Science or another related discipline would be beneficial to your application. The ability to create and review SQL code and Stored procedures (MS SQL Server) would also be advantageous, as would experience of data analysis and support ticket handling
