Support Engineer, Network Engineer, ISP, Cisco, CCNAThis is a great opportunity for a CCNA-level Support Engineer or Network Engineer to join a wildly successful company during a period of strong growth.  As part of a dedicated, externally-facing 2nd line network support team within an exciting, fast-moving environment, this is an excellent time to join a company with great promise!  Great opportunities for progression await the successful Support Engineer / Network Engineer, with the chance to move into 3rd line or design and project-focused, core networking positions in the future.The CompanyThe Support Engineer / Network Engineer will be joining one of the UK's most exciting ISPs, at the forefront of fibre technology.  Privately-funded and with heavy investment, they are doing some amazing things!  Rapid growth has seen them move from 30 to 200 employees in the past two years, and 2018 is set to be an exciting year for them!The RoleAs part of a growing team, the Support Engineer / Network Engineer will work in a wide-ranging position, as a point of escalation from the 1st line customer service team.  An enquiring mind partnered with a passion for troubleshooting/problem-solving is required, as instead of being tied to just one key vendor, the successful Network Engineer will be working across a range of technologies and ISP services, with several key suppliers, including Cisco and Juniper.What Experience do I need?My client is seeking a junior-to-mid-level Support Engineer / Network Engineer, someone who is technically curious, with excellent customer-facing skills.  The wider your breadth of technical networking and support experience, the better, but you will ideally have some of the following:

'€¢An understanding of router / switch configuration.'€¢A knowledge of home networking, including Wi-Fi, servers, emails, etc.'€¢An understanding of OSI layers 3, 2 and 1'€¢Network operation knowledge including routing, VLANs, RSTP, Ethernet, etc. '€¢Customer-facing personal skills
