Business Analyst - Agile & Product Development

We are actively looking to secure an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Agile Business Analyst to join Experis and work on our client site in Leeds.

The EC team is currently looking to onboard Business Analysts on behalf of a leading UK Betting & Gaming organisation, working on site, on one of their key accounts. As a Business Analyst, you will have to meet the following specification:

What you'll do:

Work with stakeholders and product managers to analyse problems and opportunities. Be part of a multi-disciplinary team delivering high-quality software solutions regularly, repeatedly and predictably in a high volume, always-on digital service environment using Lean and Agile methods.

How you'll do it:

Reporting to the Product Lead you will:

Be a role model and an amazing colleague demonstrating an analytical, experimental approach to solving problems and investigating opportunities.

Work closely with the Product Manager to gather, understand and prioritise new requirements and run requirements gathering/definition workshops

Facilitate workshops and elaborate work items to ensure a common understanding of the success criteria/goals.

Elciit & Translate requirements (both functional and non-functional) for products, into user stories and acceptance criteria for iterative delivery.

Be able to translate/analyse system to system interactions in order to produce user stories and acceptance criteria for iterative delivery.

Collaborate and interact with multi-disciplined development teams, whilst sharing the definition of the product and ensuring that there is a clear understanding of what is being delivered.

Understand and help to maintain a clear product vision across the whole team - be aware of the product and technology strategy and help to work towards it.

Help facilitate decision making with stakeholders and the development team.

Investigate solutions using a range of approaches, including researching competitor products, commercially available solutions,

Gather, analyse and report on relevant data in support of measuring the performance and value of product features.

Support changes to existing features, including assessment of impact, communication to stakeholders and the development team, planning and prioritisation.

Key Skills:

· Understanding of Agile (particularly Scrum & Kanban) software development methodologies.

· Ability to simplify complex problems, processes, system interactions or projects into component parts and be able to explore and evaluate them systematically.

· Quickly understands business issues and technical challenges on a project.

· Understand the Product Management Lifecycle / Process

· Understands the role of the BA in supporting delivery of features on agile projects.

· Able to then run with the tasks autonomously

· Can work collaboratively with stakeholders and stay open to ideas/suggestions.

· Able to effectively manage expectations of stakeholders.

· Ability to multi-task.

· Can effectively present options and recommendations to stakeholders.

· Can work proactively to resolve project issues and mitigate project risks.

· Can interpret basic data models.

· Experience communicating concepts and ideas to stakeholders

· Experience with presentations, proposals, specifications and reports.

· Evidence of problem solving ability and providing creative solutions.

· Experience working in multidisciplinary teams.

· Demonstrable experience of using relevant documenting and diagramming techniques, such as Domain Models, Process Flow, Use Cases, User Stories, User Journeys, Acceptance Criteria.

· Business analysis experience, with focus on delivering value to audiences in an iterative way.
