Senior Officer - Software Tester

Within this uniquely challenging and evolving environment, our client’s role is to ensure that gambling is crime free, fair and open - and that children and vulnerable people are protected. Our client is now looking for a Software Tester to join them as a Senior Officer and support the development of new systems, as well as changes to existing systems.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a software testing professional to make a positive, lasting impact on the ICT function of a leading regulatory body.

As the Senior Officer, you will help to ensure that our client’s systems are of the highest quality.

In this key role, you’ll create in-depth testing technical documentation that meets business requirements and provides clear instructions to the System and UAT Testers.

Additionally, you will:

- Liaise with the Project Manager to support business cases for technical development approval and schedule development work

- Ensure that solutions meet business requirements and quality acceptance criteria

- Support colleagues through all stages of the technical development lifecycle

- Prepare and maintain technical support documentation

- Ensure that new systems are fully adopted throughout the organisation by providing training and support to colleagues

To be considered, you will need experience of the following:

- Developing and executing test cases

- Developing and executing regression test cases to verify new code and defect fixes, ensuring they have not negatively impacted tests that have already been completed

- System testing, system integration and UAT on a complex and highly integrated project

- Managing a continuous integration environment

Organised and methodical, as the Senior Officer, you’ll have a great eye for detail and the ability to manage a varied and changing workload. Excellent communication and collaboration skills are also key.
