My client are looking for a talented Agile PM/Scrum Master to join their brand new online digital services team. Operating in the third sector they offer a great opportunity to be part of rapidly expanding technical programme of work aimed at young people.

Overall Success Criteria for the online team

1 Their online service develops in to a market-leading digital service which supports thousands of young people to achieve their goals online each month.

2 The team delivers the full end-to-end journey for a service which offers young people online support to achieve their goals. This may include designing and creating content, digital products, marketing materials and anything required to deliver the service.

3 The vision for their online service continually evolves in line with user needs and feedback, always putting the customer first.

4 Every team member champions the customer/user, understanding their needs and designing services which meet those needs.

5 Evidence and data drives decision-making about changes to the product rather than instinct.

6 The team delivers at pace and demonstrates commitment to the test and learn approach of agile, demonstrated through continuous iterative improvement and prototyping.

7 The team is constantly learning new skills and adapting to be able to deliver what is required as part of the service.

8 The Team is results driven, and measures its success through key performance indicators such as improvement in conversion rates at certain points of the customer journey.

9 There is continually valuable knowledge-sharing and engagement with teams across the main organisation

10 The online service aligns to the wider strategy of the organisation for 2018-2021 and it informs aspects of the strategy.

11 There is a culture of collaboration to achieve results driven by working in an agile/ scrum set-up, and optimisation of a multi-disciplinary teams to deliver against challenging deadlines.

12 There is an excellent understanding of the competitive landscape for the online service and the team uses insights from competitors to drive service changes.

SUCCESS CRITERIA FOR THE AGILE PROJECT MANAGER/SCRUM MASTER:

1 Iterations of service improvement set the pace and rhythm of delivery via agreed Releases.

2 All team members across both Service Design and Service Delivery understand goals, scope and product domain and are comfortable sharing knowledge and tasks in a multi-disciplinary team approach.

3 Service/product backlog and scrum resource planning is effectively managed and blockers reported by the Service Design Lead/Product Owner are removed.

4 Sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint retrospective, daily scrum and other project planning meetings and events are facilitated effectively and run as requested or needed.

5 Sprint iterations are forecast with the Service Design Lead/Product Owner and stakeholders to better understand dependencies between tasks and teams.

6 Project progress and dependencies are communicated and handled effectively to other teams within The Trust and management with Board (CEO chaired) oversight and governance as appropriate.

7 Key weekly/monthly governance meetings are arranged with key stakeholders ensuring key decisions and risks are understood and appropriate action is taken either within the online or wider organization to remove any impediments to progress.

8 An agile culture of collaboration is fostered across the Online service. There is excellent communication to break down any potential siloes and discussions, decision making and conflict resolution is facilitated.

9 Relevant metrics are maintained to help the wider team see how they are doing.

10 Any capability gaps are identified and shared/escalated in order to ensure the project can progress as required.

11 Strong relationships exist with counterparts in the main trust's PMO team to ensure progress, status, PM skills and learnings identify opportunities to bring benefits across the Trust.

Scrum and empirical product development capability and talent is built across the PTO team and wider organization and opportunities to up-skill are identified and acted upon.

Skills and Knowledge:

* Certified Scrum Practitioner

* Excellent coaching and mentoring skills able to mentor and coach teams in agile processes and tools.

* Excellent communication and leadership skills with a track record of engaging and influencing cross functional teams to deliver.

* Excellent digital literacy and knowledge of the software development life cycle.

* Excellent Agile project management knowledge and skills with qualification.

* Certified scrum master

* Knowledge and/or experience of Kanban

Experience:

* Significant experience working in an agile environment, preferably in a variety of situations.

* Able to understand the bigger picture and track record of translating that to lead, motivate and coach multidisciplinary teams to deliver on a product vision which meets the needs of users.

* Experience of problem solving, fostering innovation and driving teams to try new ways of doing things.

* Experience and able to demonstrate resilience in working in a high pressure environment to demanding targets.

* Experience of developing services and offers for our target market of NEET young people with a very good understanding of our customer base.
