A Loans Analyst is required to join a well-known, large, local bank in Edinburgh to support the delivery of a high quality, accurate and timely loans administration service for clients, market partners and internal partners such as Finance, Treasury and individual business units.

The role holder will be responsible for the delivery of high quality, timely, specialised support direct to clients and their professional advisors, market partners including UK and global banks, investment houses and hedge funds, and internal stakeholders notably Finance, Treasury and Business Units across Commercial Banking, Retail and Wealth & International.

Key Accountabilities:

* Service Delivery - Consistently deliver a high quality, accurate, timely and efficient service that satisfies the needs of both internal and external stakeholders.

* Stakeholder Engagement - Manage day to day relationships with clients and internal and external stakeholders

* Risk Control and Management - Manage risk responsibly and risk aware approach at all times, adhering to LBG policy on all aspects of regulatory, operational, financial and IT risk.

* Continuous Improvement - Identify and propose improvements to business processes and controls while supporting the successful deployment of all change initiatives.

* Self-Development - Drive self-development to maintain professional competence and realise career aspirations through be awareness of own strengths, development areas and personal drivers.

* Client First - Balance client interests and conduct matters in all day to day operations and wider decision making.

Essential Skills/Experience:

* Experience setting up new LIBOR/EURIBOR facilities.

* Administration of existing facilities including SWIFT and CHAPS outbound payments.

* Understanding of operational metrics and impact of own actions on those.

* Awareness of the market and how economic, political and other environmental factors impact market conditions.

* Strong analytical and problem solving capabilities.
