Senior Project Manager - Defence Systems

Portsmouth

A Leading Science and Engineering Company are recruiting for an experienced Project Manager to work on projects within their Maritime Division delivering services into the MOD.

The Role

As Senior Project Manager you will be responsible for -

* Developing compelling value for money propositions in response to assigned customer requirements.

* Managing a portfolio of projects, reconciling conflicting requirements to optimise the resources, maximise turnover & profit whilst achieving customer acceptance on time, first time.

* Managing internal stakeholders in a matrix organisation

* Management of a wide disparate group of external Stakeholder

* Delivering a complex service with a large portfolio of projects in a collaborative environment.

Knowledge, Skills and Qualities Needed

* Good understanding of the Association for Project Management Body of Knowledge (APM BoK)and at least 3 years' experience in its application and able to apply it in an IT & IS hardware and infrastructure installation design, delivery and support environment.

* Demonstrable knowledge and experience of the APM competencies and able to apply them to IT & IS hardware and infrastructure installation design, delivery and support environment.

* Excellent communication, negotiating and influencing skills.

* Excellent collaboration skills able to work with multiple external stakeholders as well as internal stakeholders in a matrix organisation.

Qualifications Needed

* Graduate in Engineering, Business or Project Management Discipline or with demonstrable equivalent experience.

* APMPQ or equivalent professional qualification.

* Holds and maintains full UK driving licence for Category B vehicles.

* Able to hold and maintain a UK MOD SC Clearance
