An established Engineering company in Portsmouth are seeking a Software Engineering Manager to join their team.

If you have experience in managing teams of Software Engineers within either the Aerospace, Defence Sector, then you may be the Manager we're looking for.

What will you be doing?

As a Software Engineering Manager, you'll be responsible for managing the Software Engineering team and will control the technical direction of software elements of products.

You'll have the ability to deliver software into a systems environment, as well implement safety-related real-time software development and appropriate design techniques.

Key skills required: Education: ideally Master's degree in an engineering or science discipline or related field plus a mandatory Bachelor's degree in an engineering or science discipline or related field

- Experience in project and people management - Prince2 or ITIL Certified

- A background in embedded electronics or software for the aerospace market

- DO-178 experience relating to software development - Understanding of product development lifecycle and associated requirements, delivery performance, cost and schedule

- Knowledge of aircraft systems and the operational environment in which aircraft operate.
