We are looking for an IT Project Manager on a 6 month fixed term basis to manage and deliver a range of interesting IT projects at Design Council.

Design Council is a charity and is recognized as a leading authority on the use of design. We use design as a tool to tackle major societal challenges, drive economic growth and innovation, and improve the quality of the built environment. Our approach is people-centered and enables the delivery of positive social, environmental and economic change. We address all aspects of design including product, service, user experience and design in the built environment. We are the UK government’s adviser on design.

Design Council has a number of technology projects, which are either in progress or are being considered. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring that Design Council has the processes and technology in place so that our programmes are aligned to achieving our core business and charitable objectives as well as to complying with GDPR regulations. This role is key in helping to scope out these projects, selecting suppliers to deliver them, and then to oversee implementation including embedding change and best practice. You will work closely with key stakeholders across all business units, including project managers on core programmes, and with the on-site IT resource and account/technical managers from our core IT supplier.

To apply for this role, you will have a good track record of managing and delivering IT projects including significant experience of project planning, scoping and specification phases of IT projects. You will have excellent communication skills particularly with our suppliers and stakeholders and a good understanding of processes and systems for making the best of use of data for business needs.
