Senior Data Scientist; up to £100,000 per annum

ISL Recruitment is working with a fast-growing tech company based in central Bristol in hiring a Senior Data Scientist. You will be working with the tech and product teams to design and develop features for both website and applications.
In the role of a Senior Data Scientist focus will be placed on quarterly product feature development cycles, with the team focus to drive product improvement and development. You will be working closely with the data engineering team, with the aim being to deploy models in an efficient manner, at scale.
As the Senior Data Scientist will be working to tight deadlines, the lifecycle that you will be part of will include product development as well as attending regular team stands ups to discuss project progress.
Naturally, you will be comfortable exploring data to visualise and explain hypotheses and models.
In order to be considered for this role you will be experienced with NLP (ontology learning & semantic classification; graph algorithms; neural networks; AI as related to chatbots and recommender systems.
In addition to the above you will have a strong mathematical/computer science background in statistics and machine learning. You will care about evaluation first, data-driven development and reliability. You feel confident extracting and manipulating dara from various SQL and NoSQL data stores and storage frameworks.
The toolsets used in my client's Business Intelligence team do vary, however they tend to generally default to Python but also use R. For this reason, any experience with the below will be super beneficial!

* GraphX
* Azure ML
* Amazon Machine Learning
* Julia
* Mahout
Any experience with Big data Technologies are a definite plus as is GIT or a similar VCS.
My client is looking to bring on board mid level - senior Data Scientists as soon as possible, both on a permanent and contract basis.
For the permanent opportunity my client is paying a salary up to £100,000 + excellent benefits.
