Senior Java Developer / Java Architect (Spring Domain Driven Design TDD BDD). World leading financial trading / spread betting website is seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Developer / Architect to help shape the technical architecture for a key area of the business. You'll focus on systems for new account openings which are vital to the business and last year alone were responsible for processing over 80,000 new account applications.

As a Senior Java Developer / Architect you will be responsible for engineering distributed systems and micro-service architectures. You will work across the full development lifecycle, understanding the problem and engaging with stakeholders. You'll support development teams, promoting best practice and improving visibility of the technical direction through provision of architectural principles and technical roadmaps, transparency on flows and systems and communicate the bigger picture to encourage collaboration and drive continual improvement.

Requirements:

*Significant core Java design and development experience

*Strong knowledge of Spring framework

*Good understanding of domain-driven design concepts

*Experience of building distributed systems and micro-services architecture

*Experience of using TDD and BDD

*Collaborative team member, keen to share knowledge and continually improve

*Nice to have: web / front end development skills - JavaScript, HTML, CSS
