Project Manager (Printers & Networks)

£330 per day

A leading Higher Education institution is currently looking to take on a Project Manager on an 6 months contract to help them deliver a Printers project and later on a Networks project.

They are currently in the process of finishing up the tendering process for the procurement of a new printers supplier and this role will concentrate on the completion of the tender and subsequent implementation and delivery. The Networks project is currently is in its infancy and the successful Project Manager will be responsible for the procurement, implementation and delivery of a new network for the University.

Key skills & experience include:

* With support, lead formal tendering processes with liaison with the Procurement Office, Central Finance, and Legal Department

* With support, negotiate contractual arrangements with external suppliers of goods and services in relation to projects undertaken

* Manage project communications in liaison with Communications staff

* Full project lifecycle including procurement, implementation, change management and vendor management

* Creating and managing partnerships with Managed Service Providers - particularly Printer and Networks Providers

* Producing Business Cases

* TUPE

* Infrastructure, Networks and Telecoms - Comms Rooms, switches, Wi-Fi, fibre and cabling

* Printer networks and services

* Manage stakeholders effectively

* Experience of Project delivery in an HE environment

* Experience of developing business cases for change to deliver organisational benefit

* Experience of influencing senior stakeholders

* Experience of procurement and contracts

* Experience of managing vendors and overseeing their implementations

* Experience of managing Printer and Networks outsourcing projects

The ideal candidate would also have the following:

* Business Analysis skills

* A working knowledge of Office 365, particularly OneDrive for Business, SharePoint Online and Skype for Business

* An understanding of higher education structures, concepts and practices
