This is an opportunity to join an Independent Business to Business Telecoms Provider based in Werrington, Peterborough which was established in 2009 from a home office, by their Managing Director at the age of 25 and they have grown to a Team of 31. With the expansion of their IT Support Services, they are recruiting an IT Technical Specialist to deliver First Class Technical Support to their Clients and internally. You will work on Projects and assist the Technical Manager in developing the delivery of IT Support to their Clients, working with our Technical Support Team and other Stakeholders within the Business. You will report to the Technical Manager.

Initially the role will cover all levels of Support to Customers. As their Client base grows and the Technical competences of their 1st/2nd line Support Staff develops, the role will become more 3rd line and assisting Sales in securing Contracts, on boarding new Clients and working on Projects.

The successful candidate will receive training in Telephony, On Premise and Cloud, Data Connectivity, Lines and new Products as they are added to the Portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

- Ensure all IT faults/queries are dealt with in SLA and resolved efficiently

- Ensure all records for faults are kept up to date and details are recorded correctly.

- Ensure all access records are promptly updated internally, to external partners and other Departments.

- Ensuring Customers are updated on faults in a timely and correct manner

- Ensure our SLA's with Customers are met.

- Ensuring all chargeable work is charged out when required.

- Suggest improvement for ways of working and help in developing Policies and procedures.

- Out of Hours Support on Rota system.

- Willing to pass on knowledge and learn from other Team members.

Person Specification

Essential:

- 3 Years IT Experience preferable in a Company Support environment.

- Able to demonstrate experience and knowledge of Supporting including:

- Windows Operating Systems from XP to Windows 10 in the Business environment.

- Windows Servers, Active Director, Office 365

- Microsoft Office products

- Network Design & Management

Ability to communicate to people from a Technical and Non-Technical

Flexible and adaptable to a fast-moving environment with ever-changing demands.

Desirable:

- Good IP Networking Skills, VLAN, VPN, Advance Routers, Switch and Firewall configuration.

- Remote Desktop Services, HyperV, VMWare

- Knowledge of Sharepoint, Exchange and SQL

- Exposure to Linux

- VOIP

Hours:

- 40 hours per week.

Salary:

- £25,000 to £30,000 per annum - negotiable depending upon experience

- 21 days holiday and 8 bank holidays

- Pension with Employer Contributions
