Advertising Technology owns the relationship between Technology and the rest of the business for all technology matters. This includes responsibility for ensuring that effective relationships with internal customers and external suppliers and key focus on delivering innovative solutions and providing both technical and business consultancy. Advertising Technology also works with other areas of Technology to ensure that end to end solutions and architecture meet the overall needs of the business and are secure, scalable and resilient, and fit for use across the Sky Group.

The team is focused on the requirements, design, development, test and delivery of major enhancements to the Sky Media systems within the solution. This involves significant work with third parties and internal agile development teams

Your key responsibilities

Project Delivery:

* To ensure an appropriately detailed project plan is developed and managed throughout the life-cycle of the project, identifying Business Objectives and Scope, Governance, Risk / Issue control, Schedule including resourcing, milestones and deliverables, Change control as well as effective Sponsor and Stakeholder management

* To establish appropriate resource allocations to ensure most efficient delivery of the Project scope

* Publication, maintenance and control of the project budget

* Working closely with business stakeholders through the duration of a project to ensure that proposed and final project deliverables are appropriate to business requirements and reconciled with estimated quality, cost and delivery timescales.

* To manage the working relationship with 3rd party providers and internal teams that may be required to deliver a project

* To maintain consistent and well-documented detail on Project Progress and actuals vs accurate forecasts

* To work with the project sponsor and relevant business areas where appropriate to review the level of benefits realisation of the project, undertake post closure project reviews, capturing and sharing lessons learned, producing end project reports and appropriate ownership of follow-on actions.

* Working with support teams to ensure operational handover of delivered systems is complete and comprehensive

Project Team Management:

* To ensure that the project is fully aligned with all other projects within the associated portfolio/programme or other affected programmes. Actively liaise with other Project/Programme Managers ensure that all Risks and Issues are effectively and appropriately mitigated

* Liaise with line managers to ensure projects are resourced appropriately and that teams proposed by the relevant functions have the appropriate skills and experience.

* To foster a high performance collaborative team culture, ensuring that the context, rationale and purpose of the project is clear to all team members.

* To ensure project and individual objectives, milestones and service levels are understood, met and maintained by team members.

* To maintain formal summary reporting, managing risks to ensure plans are kept in line with base-line expectations and agreed tolerances

* To engender a culture of effective communication across the team and ensure that an effective and regular communication structure exists to cover project and project team performance and capture and manage any matters of concern with project team members.

* To encourage appropriate skill and knowledge sharing across the team.

Service Improvement:

* To actively support and champion Sky Business objectives assuring successful deliveries of your own Portfolio as well as offering constructive and pro-active assistance to assure the delivery of peer or impacted areas.

* To identify, specify and implement enhancements to existing services and processes on an ongoing basis in order to continually improve service levels.

* To ensure the delivery of resilient, scalable and secure systems

Your skills

* Ad Tech and Broadcast experience is essential
