Application Support Manager / Team Lead (SQL Linux). World leading financial trading / spread betting website is seeking a senior, hands-on Application Support Manager with experience of supporting financial / trading applications. You will head up the team responsible for managing incidents and change within the business.

As an Application Support Manager / Team Lead you will provide technical leadership and prioritise the team’s workload; working with development and application teams to ensure proper root cause analysis is performed and resolutions or workarounds are documented for the Application Support knowledge base as well as providing clear and accurate communication throughout the incident resolution process.

Responsibilities will include setting appropriate metrics for reporting on key performance and providing mentoring to develop your teams’ skillset to ensure maximum effectiveness and an atmosphere of continual improvement. You’ll work collaboratively with other team leads to ensure SLAs are met.

Requirements:

Experience of supporting financial / trading applications with a good general knowledge of financial markets

Experience of leading a technical support team and meeting SLAs and OLAs within an ITIL environment

Good knowledge of SQL, able to write scripts / queries

Familiar with Linux OS

Advanced analysis and problem solving skills with meticulous attention to detail

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Nice to haves: FIX messaging, bash scripting, basic networking knowledge, ITIL
