SC Cleared Planning Consultant to be based in Newcastle on an initial 3 Month contract. Experienced in managing the integrity of the Master Schedule ensuring that all activities, events and milestones are logically linked and stakeholders held responsible for their timely delivery.

Job Title - SC Cleared Planning Consultant

Location - Newcastle

Rate - £ Market Rates per day

Duration - 3 Months initial

Duties/ Responsibilities:

* Responsible for integrity of the Master Schedule ensuring that all activities, events and milestones are logically linked and stakeholders held responsible for their timely delivery.

* Where milestones fall behind schedule, oversee corrective action plans to minimise further delay and impact.

* Perform analysis such as critical path, schedule risk and root cause analysis.

* Ensure the Master Schedule is maintained and reflects a true reflection of the baseline and progress.

* Support the Programme Manager and Site Readiness Lead with analysis of trend data and provision of metrics for review at Programme Review Boards.

* Ensuring all reports on Schedule status are completed and distributed on time with the correct level of detail.

* Review feedback from stakeholder teams within a culture of continuous improvement.

* When needed, orchestrate changes to the baseline Master Schedule tasks and update/administer the backend solution via SharePoint

* Ability to work with diverse project teams and stakeholders

* Commercial and Business awareness in a complex projects environment

Experience

* Strong background in Project Management within an IT environment

* Experience in implementation of IT Projects

* Demonstrate professional experience of working in a Project/Programme Management/Control environment.

* Demonstrate working knowledge of Risk Management Processes.

Skills

* Able to plan daily, weekly, monthly responsibilities of a team

* Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work in a fast paced project

* Ability to multi-task, with good written and verbal communication skills across all levels of the business and client.

* Ability to work within a virtual team environment

* Good attention to detail

* Ability to identify and assess potential risks/issues and work with stakeholders to resolve or mitigate.

* Proactive and can-do attitude

* Manage daily meetings in partnership with a structured action plan.

* Experience of Microsoft Project.

* Advanced SharePoint administration/site management

* Excel, including VBA and data connections to SharePoint
