Job Specification
Project Integration Technical Lead Role:
* Technically oversee the delivery of services from DXC and other Rolls-Royce eco-system vendors
* Responsible for the technical coordination and implementation of the end to end technical solution for a facility (networks, infrastructure, applications and storage)
* Leads all technical members (DXC and third party suppliers) of a project team delivering the end to end solution (infrastructure, networks and applications) for office and manufacturing/assembly, shop-floor IT systems to Rolls-Royce plc.
* Lead a team of technical leaders, project engineers and support staff, in designing and deploying IT (Applications and infrastructure) services for Rolls-Royce plc. manufacturing facilities
* Works alongside the Integration Project Manager to plan, schedule and assign tasks to team members
* Reports to the Integration Programme Manager and Programme (Domain) Architect
* Works alongside customers and other vendors in integrated project teams
* Works across the full project lifecycle to support design/configuration, implementation and testing and transition to support of all IT systems
* Lead supplier technical integration workshops to ensure that all technical aspects of the solution are understood by each supplier
* Uses structured problem solving and analytical skills and applies a broad and thorough understanding of IT infrastructure and applications covering clients, servers, storage, networks and commercial off-the-shelf applications to resolve implementation issues
* Develops service delivery risk statement documentation for customer review and approval
* Develops Information Assurance documentation for customer review and approval Analyses requirements and supports the creation of estimates for new project quotations.
* Presents project status and clearly articulates issues to customer and DXC management
* Travel to customer sites during workshops and implementation as necessary
* Contributes ideas to support continuous improvement of project processes
Knowledge and Skills Required
Critical:
* Proven ability to technically oversee the delivery of services within a multi-supplier environment.
* Experience of coordination and implementation of the end to end technical solution (networks, infrastructure, applications and storage)
* Proven ability to leads all technical members of a project team delivering the end to end solution (infrastructure, networks and applications).
Essential
* Ability to integrate the technical work of multiple suppliers to deliver a coherent solution in line with Rolls Royce CoDC (Or equivalent) standards
* Deployment project lifecycle: requirements through production of HLD, LLD, migration planning and deployment support
* Production of RFP responses, High Level Designs, Low Level Designs, Migration plans, Bill of Materials, costing/pricing for solutions
* Experience of storage management strategy, technologies, data management, virtualisation, storage and backup Restore (BUR) solutions and building and managed services within a manufacturing or equivalent environment.
Education and Experience Required
* University degree or equivalent experience
* Eight years' experience in a similar role
* Certification in TOGAF, ITSA or similar Architecture framework methodology or ITIL frameworks (preferred)
Security Requirements
* Requires BPSS clearance to start and be eligible to obtain Rolls-Royce (MOD) security clearance
