IT Project Manager

The charity’s IT Solutions Projects Team is responsible for the delivery of a diverse portfolio of projects and programmes, bringing new IT solutions and infrastructure into the organisation. Our client is now looking for two IT Project Managers to join their team, either on a permanent basis or on a contract lasting up to 12 months.

This role is essential in ensuring that that all assigned technology projects are scoped, specified, approved, designed and delivered within the timescales, and to the quality expected and defined by our client.

You’ll be responsible for everything, from day to day delivery of multiple projects, to cost, quality and time for all technology or business projects and work packages assigned to you. Examples of the projects managed by the IT Projects team are: Unified Communications, O365, Windows 10, lifeboat stations technology refresh or managing the IT work stream of CRM and Intranet projects.

To be considered, you will need:

- Substantial experience of delivering large scale project and/or programmes

- Experience of the whole project and/or programme lifecycle, from the initial definition, approval, conceptual design, detail design, delivery, test, go live and through life support

- Experience of procuring, implementing and embedding technology projects and programmes

- Previous experience of delivering projects both Waterfall and Agile delivery methods

- A track record of successful project implementation

- Knowledge of both the theoretical and practical aspects of project management

Organised and pragmatic, as the IT Project Manager, you’ll have excellent customer-facing, motivation, and communication skills. You’ll also be able to resolve project issues and effectively mitigate risks.

There are 2 roles available, one permanent and one temporary on a contract for up to 12 months.

Relocation support may be considered.
