Essential

* General experience of Programme Management in an aerospace or Defence environment.

* Product development experience from design through to manufacture in Software/Electronics.

* Software knowledge and experience leading software projects/programs.

* Ability to manage medium sized team with good motivational skills.

* Ability to performance manage and proactively able to manage own work to in order to achieve objectives.

* Ability to build credible relationships with engineers, and subcontractors. Experience of liaising with internal and external customers.

* Experience in managing programme risk.

* Financial awareness of the consequences of decisions and able to track and progress projects.

* Ability to create and deliver effective presentations.

* Ability to make timely decisions.

* Experience of using Microsoft and other software packages to manage.

Desirable

* Experience of managing software teams in a DO178B & DO254 environment

* Experience of developing products for a safety critical environment

* Knowledge of EASA & FAA requirements

* Experience of Microsoft Project/Microsoft Project Server or equivalent.

* Qualifications: 2:1 or above Electronics Engineering Degree or equivalent

* PRINCE 2 qualification is desirable
