My client based in Norfolk are searching for a Chief Engineer to provide senior technical leadership and manage engineering teams. You will be working within the senior management team to oversea the development, application and productionisation of existing technology.

My client works to build high frequency power converters, motor controllers and electric motors. The company are now gearing up for production design entering the utility vehicle, power storage, and bespoke auto markets.

What will you be doing?

* Technical leadership and direction to a multi-skilled team of electronic, software and mechanical engineers to achieve business, programme and customer objectives.

* Lead the research and development process to achieve programme targets

* Ensure Product is fit for purpose and designed for manufacture

* Managing the risk for the department

What Skills and experiences should you have?

* Professionally recognised qualifications C Eng., BSc * Experience of managing an electronic, electrical or mechanical product or system through its entire life cycle Design to production

* Proven experience in people management, strategic planning, risk management and change management

* Demonstrable evidence, in a leadership role, of the successful design, development, implementation of new technology.

* Mentoring key engineers and identifying requirements for skills development

* Demonstrable experience of operating at a senior technical management level within an engineering, manufacturing or technology based sector

* Experience of research and development and managing a product from concept to production
