ACOUSTICS PHYSICIST/ENGINEER
PERMANENT
HAMPSHIRE / SOUTH COAST
£35,000 - £40,000 + BENEFITS

The Job
You will be responsible for investigating problems associated with hydro-acoustic performance in a maritime context
Plan, design, carry out, develop and report technical projects or trials
You will work with the project manager and hydro-acoustic domain lead and other discipline subject matter experts at various stages throughout the life-cycle of projects scheduling and running the technical tasks
As the Hydro-Acoustic Engineer you will also be capturing client requirements and occasionally developing bid documentation.
Preparing written documentation (work instructions, customer reports, proposals etc) will be a key part of your role
The Fit
You must have an acoustic (or related such as aeronautical air flow, fluid dynamics etc) background
You must also have experience in theoretical, analysis and experimental activities
Hydro Acoustic experience would be beneficial but isn't essential
Familiarity of MatLab would also be useful but isn't essential
