IT Manager

IT Manager / Infrastructure / Security / Networks / Data Management / Permanent / Rugby / Warwickshire

My well established, market leading client is looking for a passionate and experienced IT Manager to be based at their headquarters in Rugby, Warwickshire. The IT Manager will be responsible for the smooth running of the group information technology operations as well as managing the IT operational and development strategy within the group.

Key Responsibilities:

*Managing a small team of staff including recruitment, training, coaching and appraising performance

*Manage day to day helpdesk support

*Evaluating the functionality of systems

*Manage the IT function on an effective and cost efficient basis including budget responsibility

*Support the business to ascertain needs and to ensure that facilities meet user or project requirements

*Selecting and purchasing appropriate hardware and software

*Organise support, troubleshooting, and repair for IT equipment and networks

*Ensuring software licensing laws are followed

*Ensure security and integrity of data, network access and backup systems

*Providing user training, support, advice and feedback

*Ensuring uninterrupted service operation to field and fixed location colleagues

*Supporting group ERP system

*Keeping up to date with new technology

*Working with GDPR implementation team to ensure compliance

*Work towards ISO27001 accreditation

Key Skills and Experience required:

*Proven working experience as an IT manager or relevant experience

*Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis, computer hardware/software systems and industry best practice

*Expertise in data management and governance

*Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration and network installation

*Working knowledge of:

oPC Hardware, mobile technologies, tablets and peripherals

oWindows 7 onwards

oOffice 2013 / 365

oMicrosoft Server 2012R2 / 2016

oTCP/IP networking principles and Microsoft technologies e.g. AD, DNS, Group Policy

oFirewalls, routers and switches (Cisco, Juniper and Fortinet experience an advantage)

oExchange Server 2013

oVMware / Virtualisation Hyper-V

oSQL DBA

*Ability to manage personnel and create a team working environment

*Mobile for UK and overseas travel with driving licence

*Degree or equivalent level in Computer Science, MIS or similar field

*CISSP accreditation an advantage but not essential

This is a great opportunity to join an established organisation during an exciting period of change. The salary on offer for this role is £50,000-£55,000 plus an excellent benefits package including bonus scheme, car allowance, private healthcare and generous pension to name a few.
