Deputy Director Head of Capabilities

£70,000 - £117,800

The role is open Nationally, with frequent travel to London.

The Group oversees the Government Security Function and sets the strategy and standards for government security across people, physical and information/cyber, drawing upon expert advice from the National Cyber Security Centre and Centre for the Protection of National Infrastructure.

GSG supports Ministers, the Cabinet Secretary and Chief Executive of the Civil Service by monitoring departmental security performance and managing serious or pan-government security risks and incidents. Within GSG stands the Directorate of Programmes & Capabilities, which supports the delivery of key security capabilities to departments, including National Security Vetting Reform Programme, the Transforming Government Security Programme and the new Rosa Service.

This is an incredible opportunity to play a leading role in developing critical security capabilities for government departments.
