WHAT TO EXPECT 

A central role to JLR’s electrified future, shaping the framework for our Software Quality and Governance in Body Engineering. This role is an important role, ensuring our Software adheres to and respects both our own internal quality standards, and the legislation we are required to meet. Providing leadership within an agile development framework and throughout the product cycle from control system design through to delivered and validated software.

You will be part of our Chapter Lead community across engineering, whilst developing the future company strategy for SW management, governance and quality you will be networking, building relationships and working together with your colleagues across the business. You will be a custodian of elements of our key technology and processes for current and future products.

You will be keen to teach, mentor and educate the wider team on the importance of SW management and quality. You will have the opportunity to attend and present at global conferences.
 

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

Develop a business aligned vision for the definition and governance of SW Management and Quality in Body Engineering.

Technical leadership to drive SW Management and Quality on programmes, including the rigorous monitoring against regulatory legislation, and reporting of status.

Lead role for developing new processes for SW change control, including the support of UNECE R155/156 and ASPICE

Establish and deploy best technical practice. Knowledge transfer in terms of formal training, and mentoring.

Keen to teach, mentor and present internally and at world class conferences.

Promoting SW Management and Quality into the company

WHAT YOU NEED

- In-depth knowledge and technical expertise in SW Quality and Compliance and associated tools and processes

- Understanding of UNECE R155/R156, ISO26262, ASPICE,

- Analytical skills including the ability to conduct research into new technologies and tools

- Ability to effectively explain complex ideas, confidently presenting these to senior stakeholders and peer group.

- Excellent knowledge of electrified and conventional propulsion systems
