JOB TITLE: DevOps EngineerSALARY: £68,202-£75,780 per annum (plus benefits)LOCATION: BristolHOURS: Full time - 35 hours per weekWORKING PATTERN: Hybrid, 40% (or two days) in Bristol office site ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Consumer Servicing and Engagement Platform for a DevOps Engineer. As a DevOps Engineer in our central team, you will work in a highly collaborative way to drive efforts to build, support and improve our tools for Continuous Integration, automated testing, and release management within our public and private Cloud hosting platform. We expect that you will demonstrate and apply outstanding engineering practices to increase agility, improve quality and help reduce downtime in all our solutions.

A DevOps is not a "thing you do" but a cultural change more than anything, you are also expected to drive this change and ensure that we embed agile and DevOps principles in everything we do. We want to see placement of these skills in context - why they matter, what value they bring, how to get the most from them, how to evolve them and spread them further within the organisation.

It is also very important to understand and apply industry standard methodologies, foster collaborative working to provide solutions for complex business problems where no precedent may exist and ensure implementation of solutions where appropriate. You also enjoy working closely with the product and other engineering teams with lots of exciting new challenges. You will be a core contributor to ensure good quality and engineering practices are followed in accordance with engineering transformation strategy. Tools we commonly used to build automated release pipelines in LBG:Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Harness, ArgoCD, GitOpsNexusIQ, SonarQubeExpert in Docker & Kubernetes. As a minimum to be considered, we would like to see demonstrated core, hands-on experience the below: Cloud/DevOps experience Public cloud experience (utilising Terraform) with a similar sized organisationExperience in a similar sized company utilising DevOps practices in the CloudExperience of managing applications running in a Cloud environment providing operational support, troubleshooting, tuning, upgrade & optimisation. Containerisation Kubernetes and Docker Programming/Scripting in:Java, Golang & JavaScript and/orBash Source code repositoriesParticularly Git Software Development Life Cycle Full project life cycle experience (from inception through to production) and including: Continuous integration, Automated deployments, Build tools and technologies (i.e., maven, nm.)
